About the role
- Perform work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of logging machines - specifically Harvester Heads - at the customer’s job sites.
- Installation of loose heads onto logging machines.
- Troubleshooting, inspections and preventive maintenance of installed heads.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with other positions in the department as needed.
Requirements
- Two-year degree in heavy equipment technician program or three years of experience and/or training in heavy equipment repair and maintenance shop.
- Must have or be able to obtain a CDL license.
- Hydraulics and electrical components knowledge.
- Ability to read schematics.
- Experience with acetylene and electric arc welding.
- Speak English fluently.
