About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Directs and coordinates administration of the Child Support Enforcement program, ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations and guidelines
- Prepares and monitors the program budgets
- Submits monthly reports to the CEO of Tribal Affairs on progress toward and/or needs to complete tasks and address priorities
- Ensures that the Child Support Enforcement Code reflects Ponca culture
- Reviews, updates, and implements policies, procedures and forms for establishing and notifying families of child support orders
- Reviews, updates, and implements policies, procedures and forms for income withholding orders
- Reviews, updates, and implements policies, procedures and forms for collecting, recording and distributing child support payments
- Reviews, updates, and implements policies, procedures and forms for confidentiality/safeguarding procedures and sanctions for not following procedures
- Maintain complete confidentiality and honor the Privacy Act in all activities.
- Reviews, updates, and implements policies, procedures and forms for maintenance of records that are compliant with federal regulations
- Reviews, updates and implements policies, procedures and forms for location of absent parents
- Review, updates, and implements policies, procedures and forms for establishment of paternity including voluntary acknowledgment procedures
- Reviews and updates cooperative agreements with states and other agencies for intergovernmental case processing
- Reviews, updates, and implements policies and procedures for establishment of performance targets that the Ponca Tribe would like to monitor
- Manages, supervises, and reviews Child Support Enforcement Staff, ensuring performance of duties in a timely manner for efficient operations of the child support program
- Possess the ability to relate to the clients in a professional manner, as well as with federal, state, judicial and other professional representatives
- Possess the ability to promote the program both internally and externally
- Attend trainings and meetings
- Travel is required, which includes some out of state travel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Business or other related field; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be qualified to be bonded
- One year of bookkeeping, clerical and data entry skills
- One year of child support enforcement experience
- One year of program establishment/implementation.
- General knowledge of child support, court and office terminology
- Computer proficiency with Word, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and Access database programs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and be insurable
- Successfully pass drug and alcohol testing, motor vehicle, education, character, and criminal background checks
- Able and willing to travel, including out of state travel.
