Create, analyze, and visualize foundational data to improve the lives of moms and babies
Become an expert in Pomelo’s patient care and clinical outcomes data and help build the data culture
Collaborate on designing and implementing systems enabling non-clinical teams (Accounting, Revenue Cycle, Care Operations, Market Operations) to scale
Use data to identify and quantify opportunities to automate critical business processes
Work with engineers and SMEs to build an AI-driven pipeline to automate the medical coding process (data exploration, modeling, validation, optimization)
Define and implement metrics measuring performance of key systems including medical coding and claims submissions
Build data-driven approaches for pattern matching claims denials/rejections, documentation quality for billing, and patient eligibility determinations
Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
3+ years professional experience in data analytics, data science, data engineering, or statistical analysis involving SQL
3+ years professional experience working in healthcare
Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python)
Passionate about improving maternal health outcomes
Experienced scoping and implementing data-driven solutions to ambiguous problems, prioritizing efficacy over complexity
Excited to work cross-functionally across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong communicator and a keen nose for value
Bonus: Experience with data dashboarding or visualization (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Metabase)
