About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate with attorneys, both in-house and contractor, to ensure every interview and hearing on the firm’s calendar is covered, managing busy calendars and availability across multiple time zones
  • Call clients in both English and Spanish to gather information, provide updates, schedule appointments, and ensure they remain engaged throughout their case development
  • Accurately prepare and submit attorney appearance forms for each interview, within strict deadlines, to asylum offices, clients, and attorneys
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and attorneys, ensuring clear communication flows in both directions and all parties stay informed of case developments and requirements
  • Maintain detailed tracking systems to ensure no critical deadlines are missed and all submissions are completed on time
  • Proactively identify potential issues or bottlenecks in case progression and communicate with teammates to resolve problems before they impact deadlines or client service
  • Perform various coordination and other administrative tasks, as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Commitment to the firm’s mission of helping immigrants secure their future in the United States through asylum
  • Exceptional organizational skills and logistics management capabilities
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail orientation and a strong ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Comfort and confidence making phone calls to clients and professional contacts
  • Empathy and patience when working with clients in crisis situations
  • The ability to work well under pressure and maintain accuracy during intense periods
  • Tech-forward skills and eagerness to learn new online systems and procedures
  • The ability to perform at a high level with minimal supervision
  • Strong follow-up skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset that anticipates needs and addresses issues before they escalate
