About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the Institute's project portfolio end-to-end: schedule, scope, deliverables, and performance indicators.
Prepare and submit technical proposals for calls for proposals and funding opportunities.
Monitor field implementation: visits to cooperatives and hubs.
Build and maintain relationships with funders, cooperatives, public authorities, and institutional partners.
Liaise with Polen's clients who finance the projects.
Develop and coordinate the actions of the communication and environmental education plan required by regulatory bodies.
Prepare technical reports and financial accountability reports for funders and environmental agencies.
Represent the Institute at events, hub inaugurations, and sectoral forums.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in project management, preferably in socio-environmental projects or the third sector (nonprofit).
Genuine interest in the recycling value chain and the reality of waste pickers.
Strong institutional communication skills, both with cooperatives and with large companies.
Availability to travel.
Experience preparing technical proposals and/or fundraising.
Familiarity with environmental regulatory frameworks (Brazil's National Solid Waste Policy — PNRS, and reverse logistics).
Experience in communication and environmental education areas.
