About the role
- Develop, implement and continuously improve security policies and processes for cloud environments, with a focus on OpenStack
- Identify, assess and remediate security vulnerabilities in complex cloud infrastructures
- Apply methods such as penetration testing, threat modeling and vulnerability analysis to proactively detect and mitigate threats
- Advise and support internal business units on security and data protection requirements for cloud systems
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., BSI IT-Grundschutz, GDPR, and other compliance policies)
- Contribute to the creation and documentation of security-relevant architecture concepts across cross-functional technology domains
Requirements
- Degree in (Business) Computer Science or an equivalent qualification with a focus on IT security
- Several years of experience (at least 3 years) in IT security, particularly in cloud infrastructures
- Strong knowledge of cloud security technologies: Identity & Access Management (IAM), firewalls, encryption techniques, and security concepts for virtualized environments
- Experience with security-relevant OpenStack components, particularly Keystone (identity management) and Barbican (secrets management)
- Practical experience conducting penetration tests and using methods such as threat modeling and risk assessment
- Ideally knowledge of BSI IT-Grundschutz and incident/emergency management
