About the role
- Lead cross-functional efforts to design, develop, and launch innovative powersports products
- Lead engineering project execution from concept through production launch
- Manage technical execution across engineering disciplines to meet performance, cost, and timing targets
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure robust product development
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and technical deliverables
- Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation throughout the development cycle
- Support validation and testing activities, including prototype builds and field evaluations
- Communicate project status and technical decisions to leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with Polaris engineering standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in product development or project engineering, preferably in automotive or powersports
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, CAD tools, and product lifecycle management
- Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R, and APQP processes
- Knowledge of embedded systems, vehicle dynamics, or powertrain systems
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites and test locations
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Status Preferred
