About the role
- Lead customer‑centric execution of safety, quality, cost, schedule, and performance goals for snowmobile systems
- Immerse in consumer insights and leverage Polaris Development Process (PDP)
- Design and develop snowmobiles focusing on systems engineering for engine integration
- Drive system specifications and own system DFMEAs
- Support creation and maintenance of system integration design guidelines
- Collaborate with project leads, systems engineers, development engineers, and technicians
- Lead design reviews and DFM alignment with purchasing and manufacturing teams
- Ride snowmobiles for field development and performance evaluation
- Benchmark competitive designs and analyze manufacturing and field problems
Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field
- 3+ years of engineering design, systems engineering, or project engineering experience
- Riding experience and a passionate interest in snowmobiles
- Strong technical background, aptitude, and ability to make trade‑offs
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to form effective business relationships with managers, leaders, and staff
- Decisive, action‑oriented, with strong self‑leadership
- Customer‑focused with high attention to detail and quality
- Excellent project planning, organizational, and administrative skills
