About the role

  • Month-End Close - you’ll prepare monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations for prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Inventory and Cost Management - you’ll work with supply chain and operations teams to maintain stock registers and manage accruals for cost of goods sold
  • Financial Reconciliation - you’ll support monthly reconciliation of inventory, COGS, balance sheet, and other expenditure items
  • Audit Support - you’ll assist in external audit processes by providing samples, documentation, and reconciliations
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Support - you’ll assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis against actuals
  • Cash Flow Monitoring - you’ll help track and report on cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability
  • Cost Analysis and Reporting - you’ll analyse cost trends and provide insights to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Compliance and Controls - you’ll ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Process Improvement - you’ll act as a visible ambassador at trade shows, conferences, and industry events, showcasing Pod’s innovation and leadership
  • Ad Hoc Analysis - you’ll identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting accuracy.

Requirements

  • Newly qualified or Part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including IFRS
  • Experience in month-end close, journal postings, and reconciliations
  • SAP experience is an advantage
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, scale-up environment
  • Familiarity with inventory accounting and cost management.
