About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, deploy, and support enterprise-grade Aruba wireless LAN solutions across corporate offices, campuses, and remote/branch locations
  • Lead wireless architecture and design, including RF design, capacity planning, predictive and post-deployment surveys, and coverage optimization
  • Engineer and maintain Aruba ClearPass for authentication, authorization, posture assessment, BYOD, guest access, and device profiling
  • Design and support internet offload architectures, guest Wi-Fi, and segmented access models
  • Collaborate with security teams on NAC, identity-based access control, and policy enforcement
  • Troubleshoot RF interference, roaming behavior, authentication failures, and performance degradation
  • Develop wireless standards, design documentation, and enterprise deployment best practices
  • Partner with automation, platform, and infrastructure teams on network-as-code and NetOps initiatives
  • Participate in Agile backlog refinement, sprint planning, and iterative design reviews
  • Serve as a senior technical escalation point and mentor junior engineers
  • Partner with vendors and integrators on architecture reviews, feature adoption, and wireless roadmap planning
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to enterprise engineering teams, full-stack engineers, and clients
  • Design, build, and maintain technology solutions and lead enterprise engineering strategies
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships, address client requirements, and provide consultation
  • Resolve complex enterprise engineering problems and issues
  • Manage risks in accordance with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise wireless networks
  • Strong hands-on experience with Aruba wireless platforms, including access points, controllers, and Aruba Central
  • Proven expertise with Aruba ClearPass, including 802.1X, BYOD workflows, guest access, device profiling, and TACACS/RADIUS
  • Experience designing and supporting internet offload and guest Wi-Fi architectures in large enterprise environments
  • Deep understanding of 802.11 standards, RF principles, roaming behavior, and wireless security
  • Experience operating wireless networks at enterprise scale, including hundreds to thousands of access points and locations
  • Strong troubleshooting skills spanning wireless, switching, routing, and authentication systems
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working within Agile or iterative delivery models for enterprise network initiatives
  • University/college degree typically required; bachelor's degree listed
  • Typically 8+ years of industry-relevant experience
  • In lieu of a degree, comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered
  • Aruba certifications such as ACMP, ACMX, or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in financial services or highly regulated enterprise environments preferred
  • Familiarity with Network as Code/Infrastructure as Code concepts preferred
  • Exposure to Agile networking or NetOps operating models preferred
  • Familiarity with wireless assurance and observability tools preferred
  • Scripting or automation exposure, such as Python and REST APIs, preferred
  • Must be able to work in the United States; PNC will not provide employment visa sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT
