About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Indirectly lead cross-functional teams to improve business planning methods
Execute key line-of-business initiatives, growth strategies, and programs
Lead execution and implementation of business planning processes
Design strategic plans based on forecasts and provide improvement recommendations
Understand business direction and needs and develop solutions, roadmaps, and assessments of potential business impacts
Identify and execute opportunities that add significant business value and achieve business goals
Consult and influence key decision makers to ensure cross-business and cross-functional alignment
Serve as a subject matter resource and advocate for best practices and learning plans
Partner with Technology leadership, Finance, and Project Management teams on project and cost center budgeting and forecasting
Pull and analyze project financial system data and work with project managers to correct issues
Analyze Finance data and work with Technology leadership to correct cost center forecast issues
Gather annual strategic plans, translate them into initiative and cost center financial impacts, and enter the information into the corporate planning tool
Facilitate business case development and change requests for portfolio initiatives
Demonstrate customer focus, quality, and appropriate risk management practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

University/college degree, typically a bachelor's degree
Typically 8+ years of industry-relevant experience
In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered
Knowledge of business development, business intelligence, competitive advantages, competitive strategies, data integration, data mining, and strategic planning
Competencies in accuracy and attention to detail, analytical thinking, business process design, data gathering and analysis, effective communications, influencing, tactical and strategic planning, problem solving, and strategic thinking
