About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end processing, control, and oversight of payment activity for OTC and cleared derivatives
  • Ensure accurate and timely settlement of cash flows across global markets
  • Manage a team of payment professionals and drive operational excellence
  • Partner with Trading, Operations, Treasury, Collateral Management, Technology, and external counterparties
  • Resolve exceptions, mitigate risk, and support regulatory compliance
  • Oversee payment reconciliation and control execution
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and develop scalable operational solutions
  • Participate in operations strategy development and execute operating plans
  • Manage two or more functions, a complex product, function, or location
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex process and product-support exceptions
  • Oversee end-to-end processes, transactions, reports, and key risk indicators
  • Coach and develop team members, supervisors, and managers
  • Lead staff meetings and translate strategic direction into tactical operating plans
  • Develop, review, and approve standard operating procedures
  • Recommend and drive policy improvements
  • Own or oversee the control framework, risk mitigation, and business resiliency activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University/college degree typically required, with 3+ years of industry-relevant experience
  • 2 years of previous managerial experience for an operations or production environment position
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Knowledge of derivatives operations, settlement processes, and financial market infrastructure
  • Leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
  • Accountability, customer solutions, compliance, process improvement, results orientation, risk mitigation, and SOP skills
  • Decision making, critical thinking, effective communications, internal resource coordination, operational functions, problem solving, process management, and standard operating procedures competencies
  • FINRA Series 99 certification
  • PNCWM Supervision certification: FINRA Series 7, 24 (or 9/10), and 66 (or 63/65)
  • Must be based close to the Pittsburgh or Cleveland hub
  • PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT
