About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Funds Transfer Pricing operations within Finance's Control division
- Lead monthly reporting and projects using the OFSA tool
- Coordinate FTP and Oracle Financial Services Application projects and methodology implementations
- Implement new or enhanced funding treatments on banking products
- Expand OFSA to consume new banking platforms
- Partner with Asset & Liability Management and Line of Business leadership to deliver accurate, timely financial results
- Derive meaning from large, disparate, unstructured, or complex datasets
- Respond to inquiries, perform analyses, and present recommendations to senior executive management
- Influence strategic decision making
- Develop, test, and implement operational changes through the system user interface
- Interpret and create complex financial models, including discounted cash flow, interest rate sensitivity, and amortization
- Lead analytics processes across multiple functions or business units
- Create data-driven solutions using complex analytical tools
- Mentor junior employees and consultants
- Consult on tool and strategy implementation, monitoring, statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product or solution development
- Determine optimal analytic approaches and support development, implementation, and enhancements
- Conceptualize, develop, and continuously optimize analytical solutions for business leadership
- Analyze results, make recommendations, and communicate conclusions from complex analytical solutions to business partners and senior management
Requirements
What you’ll need- University or college degree typically required
- 5+ years of industry-relevant experience
- Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Strong working knowledge of general accounting, accounting systems, financial reporting, data flow, and financial analysis
- Understanding of the financial services industry and bank balance sheets preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- SQL/query experience required
- Experience with large datasets preferred
- OFSA and Hyperion Essbase experience is a plus
- Familiarity with TOAD software is a plus
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data consumption patterns, data integration, and data flow
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing needs
- Written and verbal communication skills to convey complex subjects concisely for executive decision making
- Insightful curiosity to constructively challenge information for accuracy and meaning
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to use technology, contacts, and deductive reasoning to resolve reporting requests
- Analytical thinking, business intelligence, concept development, data-driven decision making, data integration, market research, performance metrics, qualitative research, and strategic planning
- Business acumen, business analytics, consulting, decision making and critical thinking, effective communications, and emerging technologies
