About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead development and execution of category strategies aligned with enterprise objectives
Drive complex RFx events from ideation through contract execution
Act as a subject matter expert and advise senior stakeholders on sourcing decisions
Identify and implement innovative sourcing solutions and operational improvements
Liaise between business units and Supply Chain Management
Lead steering committees and governance forums
Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Negotiate high-value, complex contracts with a focus on risk management and compliance
Oversee contract lifecycle management, renewals, and pipeline prioritization
Research, evaluate, negotiate, and select suppliers for high-quality, cost-effective goods and services
Request and review complex vendor proposals
Prepare supplier strategies, deal strategies, financial analyses, category strategies, and other sourcing artifacts
Develop and monitor purchasing strategies and initiate departmental improvements
Manage multiple strategic projects and present recommendations to executive leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

University/college degree, typically a bachelor's degree
5+ years of industry-relevant experience
Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including executive leadership
Proficiency with ERP, Source-to-Pay systems, preferably Ariba, and risk management tools
Deep understanding of financial services industry products and services
Advanced experience sourcing technology solutions, including software, SaaS, infrastructure, and network services
Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a track record of measurable results
Knowledge of procurement, purchasing management, sourcing strategies, supplier management, supplier selection, vendor relationships, and vendor risk management
Competency in contracts review, cost-benefit analysis, decision making, critical thinking, effective communications, industry knowledge, influencing, negotiating, and procurement
No required certification
No required license
Must not require employment visa sponsorship; PNC will not participate in STEM OPT
Subject to applicable FDIA, SAFE Act, and/or FINRA requirements for registered roles
