About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and manage WIAM governance processes, including certifications, control validation, and issue lifecycle
- Ensure alignment among issues, risk, controls, and policy to improve traceability and defensibility
- Analyze metric trends and identify systemic control gaps
- Partner with application teams and stakeholders to drive remediation and control consistency
- Contribute to governance standards, procedures, and job aids
- Support audit engagements with clear, defensible evidence and narratives
- Provide technical evaluation and analysis in a specific security area
- Apply security concepts, review information and logs, execute defined tasks, analyze requirements, and create documentation
- Perform investigations, data loss prevention, data manipulation, and coordination of activities
- Address or mitigate risks and vulnerabilities
- Review and define controls
- Advise on complex security procedures and products
- Conduct security assessments and information security routines
- Investigate and recommend corrective actions for data security
- Develop policies and procedures to standardize security functions and eliminate vulnerabilities and threats
- Share knowledge with staff and oversee that business needs are met during development
Requirements
What you’ll need- University/college degree typically required
- 5+ years of industry-relevant experience
- Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may substitute for a degree
- Strong understanding of IAM governance, risk, and controls frameworks
- Experience with control design, validation, and audit support
- Analytical ability to identify root causes versus symptoms
- Ability to influence partners and drive process adherence
- Knowledge of access control, auditing techniques, governance risk and compliance, information security, KPIs, network security, physical security, risk assessments, and security technologies
- Competencies in analytical thinking, effective communications, information assurance, information security management and technologies, IT environment, IT standards/procedures/policies, IT systems management, problem solving, and software security assurance
- No required certification; CISA, CRISC, and CGRC are preferred, with progress toward CISM a plus
- No required license
- Must not require employment visa sponsorship; PNC will not participate in STEM OPT
