About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Consult on investment and insurance strategies and develop financial plans for clients
  • Grow and retain an investment and insurance book of business
  • Own the client experience, handling sales and service, identifying opportunities, and making referrals to internal business partners
  • Acquire, expand, and maintain client relationships through business development and client networking
  • Grow client loyalty and share of wallet through an exceptional client experience
  • Apply product and procedural knowledge to solve client problems appropriately and efficiently
  • Develop and implement investment and insurance strategies and determine suitable products
  • Present financial recommendations and guidance to clients
  • Establish and monitor individual financial plans and recommend changes as needed
  • Coach and educate internal business partners to identify investment opportunities
  • Drive investment education and visibility among internal business partners
  • Communicate with internal and external partners to build relationships and drive referral activity
  • Meet with internal business partners to review business results and pipeline management
  • Meet service level agreements on lead and referral follow-up
  • Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University/college degree typically required for roles at this level
  • 3+ years of relevant/direct industry experience
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66, or Series 7 and Series 63/65, required
  • Life and Health Insurance license required
  • Knowledge of client prospecting and relationship building
  • Credit risk analysis and financial analysis skills
  • Financial modeling knowledge
  • Investment banking knowledge
  • Customer engagement and retention skills
  • Public speaking skills
  • Coaching, customer experience management, effective communication, interpersonal relationships, and sales competencies
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform prospecting and selling activities
  • Subject to applicable FDIA, SAFE Act, and/or FINRA requirements regarding certain criminal history
  • PNC will not provide employment visa sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT for this position
