About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
Build and support scalable, secure, and resilient microservices-based architectures
Design and develop RESTful APIs and service integrations for internal and external business applications
Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and engineering teams on technical solutions
Lead technical design and implementation of complex software initiatives
Drive coding best practices, design standards, and code review activities
Optimize application performance, scalability, and operational stability
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while implementing long-term solutions
Participate in Agile processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
Mentor junior developers and contribute to the engineering team’s technical growth
Support DevOps and CI/CD processes for software delivery and deployment
Provide detailed technical design and development of software solutions
Propose and design solutions for complex business needs
Write, test, and deploy software
Prepare technical and procedural software documentation
Maintain and debug software

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java
Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot
Strong hands-on experience with microservices architecture
Strong hands-on experience with RESTful API development
Experience developing distributed, high-throughput, and highly available systems
Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns
Experience with application performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies
Experience with cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a nice-to-have qualification
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a nice-to-have qualification
Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar event-driven architectures is a nice-to-have qualification
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices is a nice-to-have qualification
Experience in financial services, banking, or highly regulated industries is a nice-to-have qualification
Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence engineering best practices is a nice-to-have qualification
Hands-on Agile/Scrum experience is a nice-to-have qualification
