About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define the overall strategy for the business functional unit within operations
Execute the operating plan and communicate strategy to the operations team
Manage multiple functions across one or more sites
Manage managers, supervisors, and/or individual contributors
Achieve desired business results
Resolve significant and complex escalated issues, processes, and products
Represent the operational group at a senior level
Interact with customers and third parties to resolve escalated issues and drive business results
Own third-party and senior-level business partner relationships
Coach and develop operations managers and supervisors
Lead staff meetings and translate strategic direction into tactical operating plans
Provide consultation and advice to service partners and customers
Identify and influence strategic improvement initiatives; serve as project sponsor
Review and approve standard operating procedures
Drive policy improvements
Own the control framework for assigned units
Establish and monitor key risk indicators
Manage risk mitigation and business resiliency strategies
Verify work processes for completeness, accuracy, service-level conformance, controls, risk tolerance, and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

University/college degree typically required
5+ years of industry-relevant experience
At least 3 years of prior management experience typically required
Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service, may be considered in lieu of a degree
Knowledge of accountability, customer solutions, compliance, process improvements, results orientation, risk mitigation strategies, and standard operating procedures
Competency in decision-making and critical thinking, effective communications, industry knowledge, internal resource coordination, operational functions, operational risk, problem-solving, process management, and standard operating procedures
No required certifications
No required licenses
Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
Must not require employment visa sponsorship; PNC will not participate in STEM OPT for this position
