About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide regulatory reporting advisory support for new products, transactions, organizational changes, and strategic initiatives
  • Interpret regulatory reporting requirements and develop technical positions for complex accounting, capital, liquidity, and financial reporting matters
  • Monitor regulatory, accounting, and industry developments and assess their impact on reporting processes and obligations
  • Lead regulatory change implementation efforts, including stakeholder communication, impact assessments, and readiness activities
  • Maintain regulatory reporting policies, governance standards, and interpretive guidance
  • Strengthen the regulatory reporting control environment with Risk, Compliance, and Audit, including examination and remediation support
  • Collaborate across Finance, Risk, Technology, Operations, and business teams to improve reporting accuracy, governance, and operational effectiveness
  • Lead analysis of complex transactions, process changes, and product offerings and communicate implications to senior management
  • Prepare accounting, tax, and operational memoranda and presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Provide accounting, tax, and operational expertise for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
  • Support development and training of staff on GAAP, tax changes, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University/college degree, typically a bachelor's degree
  • Typically 8+ years of industry-relevant experience
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements, including FR Y-9C, FR Y-14, and Call Report
  • Strong understanding of banking products, capital, and liquidity concepts
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear guidance for working teams and senior leadership
  • Experience navigating change and building durable governance and controls
  • Knowledge of accounting research, financial accounting, financial reporting and analysis, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and financial and accounting systems
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail, business analytics, consulting, budgeting, decision-making, and effective communication skills
  • No employment visa sponsorship or STEM OPT participation provided
