About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6-7 professionals managing Technology third-party vendor activities and governance processes
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to improve the effectiveness, scalability, and maturity of the third-party management program
  • Partner with Technology, Sourcing, Legal, Risk, Procurement, Finance, and other stakeholders
  • Oversee review, analysis, approval, and administration of vendor contracts, SOWs, amendments, and related documentation
  • Manage third-party lifecycle operational routines and governance processes
  • Analyze program performance, identify trends and risks, and recommend process improvements
  • Lead business planning, forecasting, resource planning, and reporting activities
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, executive reporting, and vendor performance insights
  • Drive process standardization, governance enhancements, and operational controls
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with third-party engagements
  • Lead cross-functional projects and change initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and third-party risk management standards
  • Define and implement business planning processes and strategic plans based on forecasts
  • Develop partnerships with key decision makers and lead best-practice and learning-plan implementation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in business planning, operations, vendor management, third-party risk management, procurement, contract administration, strategy, or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams with direct people leadership responsibilities
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions
  • Strong understanding of third-party vendor management, contract governance, SOWs, and operational controls
  • Ability to establish structure, formalize processes, and implement scalable solutions in complex environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including data-driven business outcomes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution
  • Experience supporting Technology organizations or technology vendor management programs
  • Knowledge of third-party risk management and vendor governance frameworks
  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience leading business transformation, process improvement, or operational excellence initiatives
  • University/college degree typically required for roles at this level
  • Typically 8+ years of industry experience
  • At least 5 years of prior management experience typically required
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Must be able to work in Denver, CO or Pittsburgh, PA
  • PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position
