About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review customers' income and expenses for complex, high-risk customer groups
  • Determine hardship legitimacy and available workout options based on bank and investor guidelines
  • Assess customer qualifications to facilitate appropriate action and minimize bank losses
  • Review bank, investor, and regulatory guidelines to ensure accounts are serviced according to policy
  • Work with internal business partners to gather information and clarify inconsistent, incorrect, or missing information
  • Monitor assigned work queues and workflows to ensure goals are met
  • Use online systems to accurately document customer account information
  • Serve as a subject matter resource and mentor for the team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associates or equivalent degree, or comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience
  • Typically 4+ years of related business or functional experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with MSP, LSS, SMDU, FHLMC Resolve, and/or FNMA LMS/SMDU decisioning tools
  • Credit underwriting experience, including calculating income and expenses, strongly preferred
  • Experience in loss mitigation or mortgage default
  • Knowledge of credit processes and credit analysis and verification
  • Knowledge of bank, investor, and regulatory guidelines
  • Ability to assess risk and manage multiple priorities
  • No employment visa sponsorship or STEM OPT participation
