About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the team who monitors and reviews the sales practice activities of Financial Advisors on a centralized and regional level ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Drive initiatives and independently lead departmental and firm projects
- Work closely with the Director of Supervision and other stakeholders to assist with projects and initiatives
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Product, etc. to resolve complex matters
- Inspire and engage team members while providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring
- Support the Firm's business objectives and contribute to the Firm's profitability
- Use critical thinking and decision-making skills to review supervisory responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on products, processes, and projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- University / college degree preferred
- Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable
- Industry experience of typically 8+ years
- At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered
- Knowledge across multiple products to independently lead defined departmental and firm projects to completion
- Strong decision making and critical thinking skills
- Effective communications skills
- Familiarity with regulatory environment - Financial Services
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Organizational leadership skills
- Expertise in risk management
