About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle incoming network security policy requests not limited to network firewall, micro segmentation, proxy, and web application firewall
  • Additionally, be available (on-call) to handle break fix scenarios
  • Engineer will also participate in standup efforts and projects that require more involvement than a typical request engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of industry-relevant experience
  • Networking knowledge
  • Subnets/terminology routers, switches, VLANs, VRFs, routing
  • Troubleshooting (following the packet)
  • Network Security Firewalls such as Fortinet
  • Micro segmentation
  • Proxy (basic understanding/function)
  • VPN tunnels
  • Least privilege enforcement
  • Scripting knowledge (python is a great PLUS)
  • Server architecture knowledge (Web/app/db and communication layouts)
  • Understanding enterprise supporting infrastructure such as: Load balancers, DNS, BGP, Provisioning and Orchestration, Containers/Kubernetes, Databases, User connectivity, Proxy, Remote access connectivity
  • Load testing
