About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and execute the regional sales strategy for Small Business Merchant Services across the East Territory, ensuring alignment with overall bank and payments objectives.
- Drive new client acquisition, penetration of existing relationships, and revenue growth through direct sales teams and bank partner channels.
- Build, develop, and manage high-performing sales leaders and frontline teams, establishing clear expectations, metrics, and accountability.
- Cultivate key talent and encourage direct and cross-functional promotions throughout PNC
- Partner closely with Business Banking and other internal stakeholders to embed merchant solutions into broader client conversations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on payments and merchant services, advising internal partners and clients on industry trends, competitive solutions, and value propositions.
- Monitor regional performance against targets, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent execution.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Product partners to ensure solutions are delivered in a compliant, scalable, and client-centric manner.
Requirements
What you’ll need- university / college degree
- Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable
- Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years
- At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required
- Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
