About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform hands-on testing, including both manual and automation testing, to validate application functionality, integrations, and performance
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts using Karate for API and service-level testing
  • Execute API testing to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and system interoperability
  • Use Postman for manual API testing, validation, and exploratory testing
  • Review code, test results, and requirements with a critical mindset, actively challenging assumptions and identifying potential risks or defects
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other QA team members within Agile delivery teams
  • Document test cases, defects, and results clearly and thoroughly, ensuring traceability and transparency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven hands-on testing experience, including both manual and automated testing
  • Strong Java experience, particularly as it relates to testing and automation
  • Demonstrated experience with API testing
  • Experience using Karate for automation testing
  • Hands-on experience with Postman for manual testing
  • Strong critical-thinking skills, with the ability to review and challenge code, designs, and test outcomes constructively
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Previous software development experience, enabling deeper collaboration with engineering teams (nice-to-have)
  • Experience testing enterprise-scale or distributed systems (nice-to-have)
  • Exposure to financial services or other regulated technology environments (nice-to-have)
