About the role
- Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between business, product, and technology teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment.
- Maintain documentation and artifacts within Jira and Confluence, ensuring traceability and transparency.
- Support backlog refinement and prioritization activities in collaboration with Product Owners and delivery teams.
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand ‑ ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach team members on Agile principles and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Identify and help remove delivery impediments and risks, escalating when appropriate.
- Promote team accountability, transparency, and collaboration while ensuring alignment to Agile methodology.
- Support metrics and reporting related to sprint progress, velocity, and delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
- Strong communication skills — well ‑ spoken and professional in both written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated Business Systems Analyst and Scrum experience, ideally supporting technology delivery teams.
- Hands ‑ on experience with Jira and Confluence for backlog management, documentation, and reporting.
- Solid understanding and practical application of Agile methodology and Scrum practices.
- Ability to work effectively with cross ‑ functional teams in a fast ‑ paced, regulated environment.
- Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or similar) are a plus.
- Previous software development or technical background, enabling stronger collaboration with engineering teams.
- Experience working within large enterprise or financial services environments.
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification preferred.
