About the role
- oversee the financial management and performance of multifamily and commercial real estate investment funds
- responsible for fund-level accounting, financial modeling, and cash flow execution
- manage fund financial models
- coordinate and review tax returns
- administer capital calls and distributions
- monitor fund performance against projected yields
- ensure that investor commitments, distributions, and return expectations are met
- evaluate and report upon data consistent to fund performance
- lead fund closings and fund modifications that would affect fund metrics
- perform internal and external reporting on fund performance
- develop and maintain the upper tier model to ensure assumptions are consistent with internal and investor requirements
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry relevant experience
- strong accounting and financial modeling foundation
- experience in complex fund structures and real estate investments
- backgrounds from CPA firms or similar environments
- experience in fund accounting, investor reporting, and financial analysis within real assets or private equity
- university / college degree, ideally higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable
- specific certifications often required
