About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review domestic and international wire transactions for potential sanctions concerns
  • Analyze sanctions screening alerts to determine true matches or false positives
  • Perform list comparison analysis against applicable sanctions lists
  • Conduct due diligence and research to support alert disposition decisions
  • Document investigative findings, rationale, and decisions
  • Manage queue-based workflow on a first-in, first-out basis while meeting service level agreements
  • Process multiple alerts and transactions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
  • Escalate complex or high-risk sanctions concerns to senior leadership or compliance partners
  • Collaborate with business partners, operations teams, and compliance stakeholders
  • Remain current on sanctions regulations, industry trends, and emerging financial crime risks
  • Support audit, regulatory examination, and quality assurance requests
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with implementation and oversight of enterprise-wide and business-unit AML and Sanctions Programs
  • Support compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, AML, USA PATRIOT Act, and Sanctions Program requirements
  • Update AML and Sanctions policies and procedures
  • Identify AML and Sanctions objectives and communicate them to the business
  • Coordinate compliance monitoring and oversee compliance report preparation
  • Collect information for compliance reports and customer risk profiles
  • Identify issues, recommend corrective action plans, and escalate through governance channels
  • Analyze AML and Sanctions risk assessments and internal controls
  • Research regulatory developments and anticipate required changes to controls and policies
  • Support business initiatives by identifying and resolving AML and Sanctions compliance risks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience working in a high-volume, queue-based processing environment
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Ability to compare transaction details against sanctions screening results
  • Ability to distinguish true matches from false positives through research and due diligence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and compliance-related systems
  • Experience reviewing wire transfers and other payment transactions for compliance or risk concerns is a plus
  • University / college degree typically required, or comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • No required certifications or licenses
  • No required or preferred language assessments
  • Must be able to work Monday–Friday core hours of 10:30 AM–7:00 PM, with occasional flex hours from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • Training hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • Must work from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace if approved for remote work
  • PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT
