About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide financial and regulatory reporting and analyses to maintain adequate controls over reporting processes
- Run complex business performance, risk, and operational analytics
- Develop analytical methods and models to assess market, credit, and operational risk
- Analyze large datasets to improve risk-adjusted returns and deliver profitable growth
- Communicate analytical conclusions and develop, recommend, and implement business strategies
- Improve lending decisions, manage risk, increase revenues, reduce loss exposure, meet business goals, and improve performance
- Establish strategy baselines and track actual performance against expectations
- Apply predictive models, third-party data, and other tools for segmentation and targeting in acquisition and portfolio strategies
- Manage engagements with internal and external information suppliers while maintaining governance and oversight
- Communicate regulatory and financial accounting impacts on the balance sheet to regulators and PNC control functions
- Interact with regulators, internal audit, and management regarding credit portfolio analyses and credit risk appetite
- Evaluate market conditions and peer bank behavior to identify trends and issues affecting credit risk and return
- Determine appropriate risk limits and optimal portfolio allocation
- Collaborate with line-of-business, Finance, and Risk partners to establish credit risk appetite and related policies and procedures
- Cultivate diverse teams, role-model values, drive change, achieve results, and develop employees as a people manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- University/college degree typically required; Education listed as Bachelors
- 8+ years of industry experience typically required
- At least 5 years of prior management experience typically required
- Comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Knowledge of analytical thinking, credit risks, data analytics, financial analysis, model development, operational risks, quantitative models, and risk appetite
- Competencies in banking products, big data management and analytics, business analytics, credit risk, mathematics of financial instruments, operational risk, predictive analytics, pricing models and analytics, and the regulatory environment for financial services
