About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop plans and assist in implementing enterprise-wide and business-unit AML and Sanctions Programs
- Assist with execution and oversight of activities required by the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and Sanctions Program requirements
- Update AML and Sanctions policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance, front office, and other manuals accurately reflect current laws, rules, regulatory requirements, and management intent
- Independently challenge analyses, reviews, and recommendations
- Identify and define AML and Sanctions objectives for assigned lines of business, products/services, and applicable regulations
- Communicate and socialize objectives to the business from a leadership position
- Coordinate AML and Sanctions compliance monitoring and oversee preparation of compliance reports
- Serve as a resource on AML and Sanctions compliance impacts on business activities, product development, and customer activities
- Prepare and edit compliance reports and customer risk profiles
- Identify issues, recommend corrective action plans, and escalate through governance channels
- Analyze AML and Sanctions risk assessments and internal controls
- Research AML and Sanctions regulatory developments
- Assist with updating or implementing processes to comply with new or enhanced regulatory requirements
- Support key business initiatives by identifying compliance risks and providing risk-management resolutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- University / college degree typically required; Bachelor's education listed
- 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
- Comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Knowledge of AML and Sanctions policies and procedures
- Knowledge of audit and compliance functions, auditing, fraud management, and internal controls
- Skills in compliance reporting, customer risk, decision making, regulatory requirements, risk assessments, risk control, and strategic objectives
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Problem-solving ability
