About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide project controls support throughout all phases of the project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain integrated cost and schedule controls
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Perform project performance analyses and prepare reports
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and client stakeholders to monitor project performance
- Identify risks and trends, support change management activities, and recommend corrective actions
- Evaluate project progress and incorporate updates into forecasts and performance metrics
- Prepare project controls reports, dashboards, executive summaries, performance metrics, and other deliverables for stakeholders
- Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced project controls professionals as appropriate
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, scheduling, cost management, or related project controls functions supporting engineering and construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree required in civil engineering, engineering, construction management, mathematics, data analytics, or a related technical or quantitative field.
- A Master’s degree in a related technical or quantitative field may be considered as part of the candidate’s overall qualifications and relevant professional experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining integrated cost and schedule baselines using Oracle Primavera P6.
- Experience supporting project budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, schedule analysis, earned value management (EVM), and change management activities.
- Experience supporting DOE, DoD, federal, national laboratory, or other large-scale capital projects is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting engineering, infrastructure, energy, research, manufacturing, mission-critical, or other capital projects is preferred.
- Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6, project controls software, cost management systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CCP, PSP, EVP, PE, or similar credentials are preferred.
