Backend Engineering Intern
PlusMinusOneBackend Engineering Intern developing backend services for PlusMinusOne's mobile apps. Collaborating with a driven team in a hybrid work environment between Istanbul and the startup culture of Silicon Valley.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Developing backend services for our mobile apps under guidance
- Collaborating with the team to refine and integrate applications
- Learning and applying best practices in backend development
- Participating in planning meetings, task estimations, and code reviews
- Exploring and implementing new technologies to improve our systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3rd or 4th-year student in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in backend development, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on backend experience through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships — we care about strong fundamentals over any specific language or framework.
- Solid grasp of OOP, design patterns, clean code, and core data structures & algorithms.
- Familiarity with version control (Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a genuine willingness to learn and grow fast.
