About the role
- Lead the roadmap: Manage and improve the architecture of financial systems (ERP, planning and reporting tools) to ensure optimal performance.
- Transform processes: Support the technical re-engineering of workflows (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash) through rigorous automation.
- Oversee data: Manage configuration, data modeling, ETL strategies, and the development of real-time financial dashboards.
- Modernize frameworks: Establish a single source of truth to enable advanced analytics and machine learning.
- Translate business needs: Work with finance teams to convert complex requirements into modern technical solutions.
- Ensure governance: Define data quality standards, access management, and documentation to ensure compliance and control.
- Act as a bridge: Connect Finance and Technology teams to prioritize projects and drive user adoption of tools.
- Support internal controls: Contribute to the design and automation of controls (SOX, SOC, ITGC) to ensure efficient, documented execution.
Requirements
- Leadership experience: Proven expertise in financial engineering/finance systems within high-growth technology organizations.
- Platform expertise: Deep knowledge of platforms such as NetSuite or Adaptive (configuration, custom scripting, integrations).
- Architectural skills: Comfortable with dimensional modeling, data governance, and financial reporting structures.
- Operational proficiency: Ability to redesign accounting close and cash workflows to maximize automation.
- Measurement mindset: Skilled at defining and communicating the ROI of technical transformations (reduced processing times, improved data quality).
- Systems thinking: Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects and selecting integrated technology toolsets.
- Excellent communication: Ability to influence stakeholders and lead complex change at the executive level.
