Senior Preconstruction Project Engineer – Battery Storage
Plus PowerSenior Project Engineer in energy storage sector assessing project feasibility and supporting development processes. Engaging in technical risk assessment and project management throughout project lifecycle.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assess energy storage technologies and site layout options with respect to long-term project performance requirements
- Analyze, assess, and present project technical risks and determination of de-risking solutions
- Develop project capital and operational cost estimates and milestone schedules
- Provide technical and project management support throughout the development cycle
- Support offtake, equipment procurement, as well as engineering and construction contracting activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline required
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in technical roles or fields
- Experience in Power, Energy, Renewables, or BESS with familiarity of industry-specific terminology required
- Knowledge of value proposition and technical fundamentals of energy storage development
- Demonstrated success with technical-commercial contract negotiations to support offtake, equipment supply, engineering, and construction agreements
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to analyze complex information and make sound, timely choices
