About the role

  • Oversee daily AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations and transactions
  • Deliver accurate monthly/annual reporting, cashflow management, budgeting, forecasting and system optimisation
  • Provide financial insights and modelling to the CEO, Leadership Team and Board
  • Lead long‑term financial sustainability, scenario planning and audit readiness
  • Manage the Risk Register, Compliance Calendar and policy governance
  • Coordinate insurance, contract and legal workflows, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Support digital platforms, data governance and cybersecurity
  • Provide financial advice to program and operational teams, including modelling, budgeting and grant acquittals
  • Build a capable, values‑aligned team through coaching, development and strong cultural leadership

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce or similar, plus CA/CPA qualification
  • Demonstrated experience leading finance operations, reporting, budgeting and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and not‑for‑profit sector requirements
  • Experience with Xero, Microsoft 365, financial modelling and grant/funding acquittals
  • Strong skills in risk management, controls, and compliance frameworks
  • A Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
