About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Executing the claims function's strategy and playbook under the direction of the COO
Take ownership of how the claims function gets done as it matures
Evaluate and provide proposed changes to the claims operating model
Maintain oversight of commercial claims, including complex and litigated matters
Own the file audit and QC process
Analyze claim outcomes across TPAs and jurisdictions
Serve as the primary point of contact for TPA relationships
Partner closely with Athlete Safety for claims data and risk insights
Own the day-to-day execution of the claims function
Help lay the groundwork for future claims team with process documentation and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in commercial insurance and claims
Specific experience handling claims ideally within an MGA, TPA-managed program, or sports/specialty segment
Demonstrated experience executing claims strategy and managing TPA or vendor relationships
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Baseline digital literacy: proficient with Microsoft Office/365 and comfortable adopting new tools and platforms as Players Health builds out its claims technology stack.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines while working autonomously in a remote environment.
Bachelor's degree in business, risk, insurance, or a related field is desired.
