About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct thorough Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on customers
  • Perform Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and sanction checks
  • Collaborate with customer service, payments, and other internal teams
  • Review and analyze alerts from the transaction monitoring system
  • Assess customer profiles and transaction behavior
  • Compile detailed reports on investigation findings
  • Draft, prepare, and handle the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
  • Provide recommendations for improvements to AML policies and procedures
  • Stay abreast of changes in AML/CFT regulations
  • Evaluate current AML/CFT tools, monitoring systems, and operational workflows
  • Respond to various AML-related inquiries and tasks
  • Participate in and lead AML-related projects
  • Participate in the testing and implementation of new tools or systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience in a similar AML/Compliance role
  • Strong understanding of the online gaming industry
  • Fluency in Portuguese is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong written and spoken English is required
  • Familiarity with PEP screening, sanction checks, and SAR filing processes
  • Team player capable of working collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • Willingness to learn, a "can-do" attitude, and the self-motivation to operate independently without requiring constant oversight
  • Rigorous with a structured approach to problem-solving
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
