About the role

  • Execute a 360-degree SEO strategy by optimizing on-page content, coordinating off-page authority building, and identifying technical improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze organic traffic and keyword rankings; explain the 'why' behind trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Translate SEO strategy into detailed content briefs for writers, acting as the native-language gatekeeper for quality and search intent alignment.
  • Assist in regular site audits using Screaming Frog.
  • Work with the tech team to ensure schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and indexing issues are prioritized.
  • Keep a pulse on the SEO landscape to reverse-engineer competitor growth tactics and stay ahead of algorithm shifts.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and agencies to keep off-site activities and backlink profile on schedule.

Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in Dutch, Finnish, or Portuguese, plus professional English proficiency for internal collaboration.
  • 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience.
  • Comfortable discussing metadata, backlink profiles, and crawl budgets.
  • Experience with GA4, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog.
  • Proficiency in Ahrefs, Semrush, Wincher, or similar tools.
  • Enjoys data analysis and has a natural curiosity for finding patterns and explanations for performance shifts.
  • Solid understanding of how Generative AI and AI-driven search results (GEO) are changing the way users find information.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with content and tech teams.
