About the role

  • Independently provide legal advice on contract matters and develop negotiation strategies for the business units
  • Coordinate and handle contract drafting and structuring with customers, suppliers and other contracting parties
  • Coordinate the legal team during contract negotiation phases and serve as a member of the negotiation team
  • Perform early analysis and assessment of tenders and awards for legal risks
  • Enforce contractual rights in key projects
  • Develop policy guidelines and directives for contract execution
  • Actively ensure division-internal approval processes
  • Take responsibility for all contractual aspects of change order management and claim strategies
  • Coordinate the timely preparation of claims as required

Requirements

  • Completed degree in business law or a law degree
  • Professional experience in a commercial company or in a law firm focused on business law with a specialization in contract law; international experience is ideal
  • Several years of negotiation experience with international B2B and B2G bodies
  • Experience with international law in the defence and security sector is desirable
  • Strong team orientation, openness and excellent communication skills
  • Informal leadership experience of interdisciplinary teams, in particular coordinating substantive work and training of negotiation teams
  • High willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Independent, pragmatic and goal-oriented working style
  • Business-fluent English and very good IT skills (MS Office); French language skills would be an advantage
