About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the pursuit process from start to finish by developing sales strategies and writing persuasive messages
  • Use research profiles, meetings, target-company information, and knowledge of the firm’s offerings to develop proposals
  • Collaborate with pursuit teams and manage large teams of service providers and stakeholders
  • Create proposals, RFP responses, presentations, and other sales deliverables
  • Serve as the central point of contact and lead project manager for assigned proposals
  • Manage multiple proposals, pursuits, presentations, and deliverables simultaneously
  • Facilitate client service professionals, graphic design resources, marketing professionals, and other pursuit resources
  • Deliver comprehensive, compliant responses on time that position Plante Moran as the first-choice firm
  • Develop persuasive content based on pursuit research, customer personas, buyer journeys, buyer groups, meetings, prior pursuits, and firm offerings
  • Engage additional firm resources to produce quality deliverables by deadlines
  • Lead finalist presentation preparation through all stages of a multi-stage selection process
  • Develop talking points and presentation deliverables with presenters
  • Lead and coach internal dry runs, provide constructive feedback, and finalize presentation materials

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 6+ years of increasing responsibility and demonstrable business writing experience
  • Experience developing proposals in a professional services or corporate environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, English, Journalism, Communications, or another related subject area
  • Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
  • Literacy with AI use in a professional business environment, including CoPilot
  • Ability to work hours exceeding the standard 40-hour work week as a non-exempt employee
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, except qualified candidates bilingual in Japanese and English or Chinese and English
  • QorusDocs experience preferred, not required
