About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide analytical and data-driven components for M&A transactions
  • Build financial models by entering historical financial information, forecasting future periods, and developing assumptions
  • Check financial models for validity and correctness
  • Conduct industry and company research and analyze data
  • Prepare selling document text, charts, visuals, financial data, and formatting
  • Assemble, develop, and edit information requests, due diligence lists, confidentiality agreements, engagement letters, proposals, and management presentations
  • Work with investment banking professionals serving middle-market companies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Detail-oriented student with problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
  • Thorough financial statement analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • High degree of initiative, poise, and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and drive to succeed
  • Solid technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Preferred: prior accounting or finance-related internships
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance at an accredited college or university
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Completion of introductory accounting and finance courses
  • Ability to work hours exceeding the standard 40-hour work week when necessary
  • Position may require travel
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, except qualified bilingual Japanese-English or Chinese-English candidates
