About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate project activities across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment with program objectives, schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Support team leaders and managers in monitoring projects, SharePoint sites, dependencies, and action items
- Prepare meeting minutes, action item trackers, and other project documentation
- Create presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Track and follow up on commitments to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and activities
- Collect, validate, and consolidate project data from multiple sources for reporting and decision-making
- Develop and maintain dashboards, status reports, metrics, and tracking tools
- Generate recurring and ad hoc reports on project status and program accomplishments
- Submit patient data requests and update SharePoint lists
- Assist with business process improvement, training presentations, and organizational modernization initiatives
- Support the Department of Veterans Affairs IETSS contract and Testing Services activities
- Contribute to software delivery lifecycle activities, enterprise testing services, and quality assurance functions supporting VA modernization initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree or currently enrolled in a degree program in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related discipline
- Additional relevant experience may be substituted for formal education
- Coursework or knowledge in general project management/business administration frameworks and best practices
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and team leaders
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and dashboards
- Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Ability to successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process, including detailed forms and fingerprinting
- PMP and CSM certifications are preferred but not mandatory; ability to obtain those certifications if hired is required
- Experience supporting federal government, healthcare IT, or VA programs and initiatives is a plus
- Knowledge of project management/business administration principles, methodologies, and best practices, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery approaches
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, action item trackers, and dashboards
- Ability to analyze data and develop meaningful reports and recommendations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to coordinate activities across cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
