About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- managing the verification process for all healthcare professionals
- reviewing applications for completion
- verification of state licensure
- collecting information contained in the national data banks
- compiling all applicable security and credential documents
- assembling qualification packages for review
- managing timelines and processing
- performing Primary Source Verification (PSV)
- completing verifications following DHA directives
- responding to inquiries from the customer’s Security and Credentialing Office
- providing direct supervision to the support staff
- implementing DHA policies and standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Five plus years of experience in medical credentialing including overall knowledge of the credentialing and privileging process
- Two plus years of credentialing experience with the DoD
- Must have ability to interface with all levels of military medical staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skills with use of MS Office, i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Organization skills and ability to be detail-oriented and accurate in work produced
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or related field preferred
