About the role

  • Managing the verification process for all healthcare professionals (physicians, dentists, nursing, allied health)
  • Reviewing applications for completion and verifying state licensure
  • Collecting information from various data banks and state licensing activities
  • Providing direct supervision to the support staff in administering all aspects of processing applications
  • Implementing ARNG-CSG policies and standards to ensure compliance
  • Working with applicants and ARNG-CSG staff to enhance credentialing functions
  • Compiling documents and building credential review files
  • Generating and emailing notification letters of credentialing results to applicants
  • Data entry into CCQAS as the official system of record

Requirements

  • Five plus years of experience in medical credentialing
  • Overall knowledge of the credentialing and privileging process
  • Three plus years of credentialing experience with the DoD utilizing CCQAS/ JCCQAS
  • Two plus years of training experience to include classroom, webinars, and self-paced online
  • Certification from National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) (preferred)
  • Must have ability to interface with all levels of military medical staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skills with use of MS Office, i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Organization skills and ability to be detail-oriented and accurate in work produced
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, or related field preferred.
