About the role
- Managing the verification process for all healthcare professionals (physicians, dentists, nursing, allied health)
- Reviewing applications for completion and verifying state licensure
- Collecting information from various data banks and state licensing activities
- Providing direct supervision to the support staff in administering all aspects of processing applications
- Implementing ARNG-CSG policies and standards to ensure compliance
- Working with applicants and ARNG-CSG staff to enhance credentialing functions
- Compiling documents and building credential review files
- Generating and emailing notification letters of credentialing results to applicants
- Data entry into CCQAS as the official system of record
Requirements
- Five plus years of experience in medical credentialing
- Overall knowledge of the credentialing and privileging process
- Three plus years of credentialing experience with the DoD utilizing CCQAS/ JCCQAS
- Two plus years of training experience to include classroom, webinars, and self-paced online
- Certification from National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) (preferred)
- Must have ability to interface with all levels of military medical staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skills with use of MS Office, i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Organization skills and ability to be detail-oriented and accurate in work produced
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, or related field preferred.
