About the role

  • Design system solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Define system design, capabilities, and limitations
  • Produce accurate as-built documentation
  • Support the sales team during the quoting process
  • Provide final design guidance to the CAD team
  • Deliver a clear project handoff to the assigned project manager
  • Join the lead technician during site visits
  • Assist in conducting thorough needs assessments with the customer
  • Prepare and deliver a comprehensive bill of materials (BOM)
  • Develop a system flow diagram using the BOM
  • Approve the signal flow diagram and send it to the CAD team for construction drawings
  • Create a Technical Scope of Work for internal field operations use
  • Provide technical support to other departments as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in AV industry in a technical design role
  • CTS (minimum requirement), working towards CTS-D (preferred)
  • Skilled in AV and architectural design with strong knowledge of network infrastructure
  • Extensive knowledge of Crestron, Extron, QSC, and similar control systems
  • Expertise in solving problems and resolving issues
  • Capable of identifying and analyzing intricate system challenges
  • Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and system wiring diagrams
  • Strong people skills; effective verbal and written communicator
