About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic leadership for PPFA’s fundraising technical and data strategy functions
- Direct operational solutions and data-forward practices to scale and grow fundraising capabilities
- Unify development technology, data, and operations functions into a cohesive division
- Lead enterprise-wide donor data strategy, analytics, business intelligence, and data governance
- Establish standards and stewardship practices for data quality, consistency, security, and compliance
- Build exceptional service delivery for fundraising strategists and affiliate partners
- Partner with the COO, CFO, General Counsel, CIO, and other corporate leaders
- Develop Federation-wide strategies, standards, and service models across affiliate organizations
- Lead recruitment, development, retention, and management of a team of approximately 62 professionals
- Lead system migrations, process re-engineering, data modernization, and organizational change
- Identify and reduce workflow and technical bottlenecks across the donor lifecycle
- Evaluate and deploy emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and automation
- Direct departmental budgets, technology investments, contracts, vendors, procurement, and build-versus-buy decisions
- Develop reporting and analytics resources supporting fundraising strategy, revenue projections, and resource allocation
- Report to the Chief Development Officer and serve on the Senior Development Leadership Team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep commitment to Planned Parenthood’s mission and an inclusive, equitable work environment
- Minimum 20 years of experience in fundraising operations
- At least eight years in a senior leadership role within a large, complex nonprofit
- Experience in federated, multi-entity, membership, affiliate, or similarly complex organizational structures strongly preferred
- Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable fundraising strategies and executive-level reporting
- Leadership experience in master data management, data governance, data operations, data privacy, and compliance reporting
- Expertise in complex marketing or fundraising technology stacks, including CRM systems such as Salesforce, data warehouses, customer data platforms, digital marketing platforms, business intelligence tools, payment processors, and third-party fundraising platform integrations
- Ability to build alliances with peer leaders and navigate finance and legal stakeholders
- Track record managing large-scale organizational change and process improvement
- Experience leading enterprise system implementations, CRM transformations, data modernization, and organizational redesign
- Systems-thinking approach focused on streamlining workflows and establishing operational standards
- Commitment to exceptional internal service delivery
- Track record of leading empathetically through change and high-pressure organizational dynamics
- Ability to lead a diverse team and develop talent
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced degree in business, information systems, or nonprofit management preferred
