About the role
- Serve as mentor and clinical guide for Registered Nurses and collaborate with Metro Health Center Manager and medical leadership
- Deliver direct patient care within licensure scope, including value-neutral counseling and reproductive health services including abortion
- Advise, counsel, and provide referrals; perform physical assessments and manage common gynecologic/non-gynecologic issues
- Maintain clinical systems (abnormal lab follow-ups), complete medical documentation, support prescription refills, phone consultations, and follow-up
- Participate in Centralized Follow-Up team and support clinic financial and patient data awareness
- Lead nursing leadership duties: ensure regulatory compliance, support state inspector visits, hire/train/evaluate staff, orient/mentor students, complete annual staff reviews, monitor productivity
- Participate in Medical Leadership Meetings and coordinate emergency drills
- Quality and Risk Management: serve on QRM subcommittees, complete and report abortion and medical audits, follow up on medical occurrences, develop audit and training calendar
- Work evenings and weekends as needed and rotate with nursing staff for after-hours calls
Requirements
- Current RN Utah license without restriction
- Bachelor of Nursing or nursing degree with equivalent leadership training (preferred)
- 2+ years clinical experience in Women’s Health or reproductive healthcare
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
- Yearly influenza vaccination required unless qualifies for medical or religious exemption
- Maintains licensure and participates in continuing medical education; keeps BLS certification current
