FP&A Revenue Manager
PlanetFinance Manager managing revenue forecasting and analysis for high-growth business at Planet. Collaborating cross-functionally to drive financial insights and improve forecasting accuracy.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the end-to-end annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting cycles for all revenue and related metrics.
- Build & maintain sophisticated quantitative models to improve revenue forecasting/planning.
- Drive actionable insights by performing detailed variance analysis (Actuals vs. Forecast vs. Budget) and clearly articulating the financial story to executive leadership.
- Automate and improve planning and reporting processes, working with the BI team to enhance the "single source of truth" for revenue data.
- Participate in key strategic initiatives and assist with other ad hoc projects supporting business partners and finance leadership.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of progressive experience working in an FP&A revenue role, or a combination of auditing/revenue accounting/investment banking and FP&A roles.
- Deep experience in analytics and financial modeling – particularly in building complex, dynamic models from scratch, and tracking forecasting models.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills with proven ability to clearly and succinctly explain complex model characteristics and their results to leadership.
- Familiarity with common financial concepts, including basics of revenue recognition (ASC 606) and FX impact estimates.
- Ability to cut to the heart of and articulate issues, scope and select recommended solutions, and implement them.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Sales, and Business Intelligence teams.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment; dependable with deliverables and deadlines, able to multi-task while maintaining an emphasis on quality.
