About the role

  • **Responsibilities**
  • - Administer, maintain, and support Oracle databases in production and non-production environments
  • - Manage database archiving, partitioning, backup, recovery, and retention strategies
  • - Monitor and optimize database performance, capacity, and availability
  • - Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery (DR) configurations
  • - Participate in DR switchover and failback activities with cross-functional teams
  • - Ensure database security, patching, upgrades, and compliance with InfraCore standards
  • - Troubleshoot complex database issues and perform root-cause analysis
  • - Support releases and deployments with development and DevOps teams
  • - Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks
  • - Proactively identify risks and recommend improvements

Requirements

  • - Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in Oracle database administration, with demonstrated senior-level ownership
  • - Strong expertise in Oracle administration, archiving, partitioning, backup and recovery
  • - Hands-on experience with disaster recovery and switchover operations
  • - Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • - Ability to operate in high-availability, mission-critical environments
  • **Nice to Have**
  • Database development experience (SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Scripting or automation experience
  • Experience in regulated or critical infrastructure environments
  • Oracle certifications
