About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of electricity market trends and other ISO/RTO market rules and practices
  • Design, analyze, and optimize market structures and rules across PJM markets
  • Perform complex studies and analysis of market design issues independently
  • Develop concepts, strategies, position papers, and innovative solutions for PJM market design
  • Manage conflicting expectations among market participants
  • Develop and deliver presentations on complex ideas to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in revising PJM governing documents for proposed market design changes
  • Work with PJM legal counsel on FERC filings, including transmittal letters and affidavits
  • Lead implementation of complex market design initiatives and drive cross-functional teams to consensus

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience in an Engineer/Analyst position
  • Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Ability to use mathematical and electrical theory
  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support
  • Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions preferred
  • PJM is not STEM OPT eligible
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position
